Ajuga, also known as ground pine, carpet bugle, or bugleweed, is a genus of 40 species annual and perennial herbaceous flowering plants in the Ajugeae tribe of the mint family Lamiaceae. Bugleweed is well known for its hormone balancing capabilities by helping the body absorb iodine which helps promote thyroid health. It is also helpful in managing stress and sleep issues.
