Meadowsweet

Filipendula ulmaria, commonly known as mead wort, or meadowsweet, is a perennial herb in the family Rosaceae. It is native to Europe and Western Asia. In 1860, the salicylic acid found in this herb was isolated and used to develop aspirin. Along with pain reducing abilities, this plant can be used to balance acid in the stomach, promote gut health, and combat arthritis.
