Larrea tridentata, also known as creosote bush, greasewood, and chaparral is a species of herbaceous flowering plants in the family Zygophyllaceae. This plant is native to Mexico and the southwest United States and has been used as a “cure-all” for centuries. Proven studies show that chaparral can help the body fight cancer, harmful bacterial, and viral infections including sexually transmitted diseases. Interesting fact: After the 1962 nuclear bomb tests were done, chaparral was one fo the first plants to grow back in the Yucca Flats.
