Justicia spicigera, also known as Mexican honeysuckle, firecracker bush, moyotle, moyotli, mohintli, muicle, trompetilla, yaxan, or ych-kaan is an evergreen shrub in the family Acanthaceae and is native to Mexico and countries of Central America. This plant has been used to heal diseases such as dysentery, diabetes, leukemia, and anemia. The herb is also great for treating cough and ridding the body of excess mucus.
