Wild Yam

Dioscorea villosa, also known as wild yam, colic root, rheumatism root, devil’s bones, and fourleaf yam, is a plant in the Dioscoreaceae family native to eastern North America. The herb was traditionally used as a contraceptive and menstrual, ovarian, and labor pain reducer. Wild Yam is also valuable for digestive problems, arthritis, and muscle cramps.
